Crooked Moon plunges adventurers into Wickermoor Hollow, a folk horror valley where corrupted covens, gothic monasteries, and haunted trains hide behind a thin veneer of small-town charm. Beyond the valley itself, the wider realm of Druskenvald is just as unsettling, spanning provinces full of arcane academies, dragon graveyards, and cursed cities.
Whether you’re running the full campaign or pulling a few of its dark locales into your own game, here are ten of our battlemaps for bringing Druskenvald and its wider world to life at your table.
Adventure Locations
1. The Ghostlight Express — Eberron Transport Series

The Ghostlight Express only rolls in after dark, summoned by the sound of a lone fiddle and guided by an amiable frogman called the Vagrant. Passengers ride this ghost train through the mist between life and death, on their way to be reborn in the realms of Druskenvald.

The Eberron Transport Series covers the whole journey from the train platform where your party boards to the sleeping and dining cars beyond. There’s plenty of room to build tension here, letting your players work their way car by car as they meet the train’s other passengers, some of whom aren’t quite ready to let go.
2. Wickermoor Village, Abandoned Church — Forgotten Chapel Graveyard

Plagued by disappearances, unexplained illnesses, and strange deaths, Wickermoor Village is a town slowly falling apart. Against all odds, however, one small corner of the town is finding new life—a ruined church being restored by a pilgrim and his family.
This Forgotten Chapel Graveyard paints a vivid picture of this slow reclamation and provides a nice respite for your party, tucked away from everything else wrong with this town.
3. Crimson Monastery — Grand Cathedral Interior (Blood Moon)

High in the mountains, the Crimson Monastery casts a long shadow upon the town below, its halls lit entirely in red and its walls stained with the blood of the faithful. Its vampiric abbot demands purity from his flock, and anyone who refuses gets a personal invitation to the altar.

This Grand Cathedral map series delivers on the whole premise flawlessly, complete with an underground crypt and ritual chamber to match—everything a DM could need for a party to sneak, negotiate, or fight their way to the monastery’s dark heart.
4. Hartsblight Forest — Depths of the Festerwood (Night)

Once a lush woodland known as the Greenwood, this forest is now rotting from the inside, infected by a fungal blight that spreads through everything it touches. At its heart lurks Gorthos, a satyr who succumbed to corruption while chasing a dead god’s promise of rebirth.
This Depths of the Festerwood map captures that melancholy decay perfectly, all glowing spores and choked overgrowth swallowing the forest floor whole. It’s an eerie, fitting stage for the final confrontation with a tragic monster like Gorthos.
5. Crooked Nightmare — Wizard Prison Series

In the Crooked House, old adversaries have come back fused into a horrific abomination, dragging the house into darkness and surreal prophetic dreams where nothing behaves the way it should.
The Wizard Prison Series brings that chaos to life with spatial strangeness and impossible architecture, a striking way to stage a fight with no floor to stand on, and a battle your table won’t forget anytime soon.
Setting Locations
6. Ardengloom, Maze of the Dreamers — Haunted Hollow

Somewhere deep in Ardengloom grows a maze built from branch, bush, and old magic, marked by an archway that glimmers with light. Legend says the maze sings to travelers passing by, and not everyone who answers finds their way back out.
This Haunted Hollow map captures that otherworldly, mystical quality well, with twisting purple paths making it easy to lose all sense of direction. It’s a great fit for an eerie locale where the woods do the hunting.
7. Astramar, Gandorhal Academy — Celestial Chapel (Night)

Gandorhal draws students from every corner of Druskenvald to study magic of every kind, its labyrinthine halls hiding dangers that the professors leave in place on purpose, believing the only path to mastery runs through a little risk.
The night version of this Celestial Chapel map captures the quieter side of the academy beautifully, and makes a lovely backdrop for a night of quiet research or a hard-won piece of lore.
8. Chernabos, Hotel Durango — Hell’s Cocktail Lounge

Hotel Durango finds those who have lost everything in the infernal realm of Chernabos, and then wandered into the desert with nothing left to lose. The hotel appears as a mirage, its door always open, offering food and drink alongside whatever comfort a lost soul might chase.
This Hell’s Cocktail Lounge dresses that temptation up beautifully, with its plush red seating and every indulgence a weary traveler could ask for—the perfect setting for a deal that seems too good, right up until your players realize the cost.
9. Edwardia, Baskerton — Gothic City Series

Baskerton is the biggest city in Druskenvald, its skyline lit by crackling electricity and its rhythm set by two enormous clocktowers that never miss a chime. It’s a city built on progress—though not without plenty left in the shadows underneath.
Fog rolls low over lantern-lit stone in this Gothic City map series, great for setting the scene when your party arrives, or for any encounter that plays out along its misty streets.
10. Syndramas — Nightmare Dragon Lair (Cold Ice)

At the center of snowy Syndramas stands a necropolis ruled by a skeletal dragon queen, risen from the ashes of a war that wiped out her kind. She keeps an uneasy peace between the province’s warring factions, but deals personally with anyone who breaks it.
This Nightmare Dragon Lair feels every bit like her seat of power, icy and imposing as it is, a fitting stage for an audience with royalty—especially the kind you really, really don’t want to upset.
